Some BJJ, Kickboxing and Conditioning

I went to BJJ on Friday.  It was really fun.  We mostly just rolled.  We did work on a collar choke from technical mount.  Then a bicep slicer from the same position, in case they block the collar choke.  I guess it seemed like we just mostly rolled because I was like 20 min late to class.  Ooops.  I hate when I am late.

Anyway, I rolled for a good hour and 15 min. or so.  It was just what I needed.

On Sat. I did the hard core class, which is specifically focused on the core muscles.  By the way, I don't know how I have managed to get away with having such a weak core all these years.  I really need to start working on my abs and such.

Kickboxing is after hard core and it was great this weekend.  I did some light sparring with my buddy Jason.  I think this is the first time I have done any sparring in about a month.  I miss it.  Although, after I got Jason in the solar plexis with a knee that put him out for a min. I had to work with John and I didn't miss sparring during that.  John kicked me in each of my legs once and one of them still hurts.  I need to do some more conditioning.

X-camp was pretty crazy.  We did a shit ton of stations and I was tired as hell.  The really hard ones were the burpies with a jump to a chin up, the #400 wheel barrow down the hall way and those damn ropes.  It felt good to work out really hard though.  I'm enjoying being back in the swing of things.  Now I just need to get my weight back down.  Especially if I am going to try to fight in Feb.
